CARE FOR GOLDENS

We don’t raise Goldens. We CARE.

What follows are practices that we have developed through the years  based on our own experience and knowledge. We constantly learn new things and encourage you to do what you consider best. The care you provide depends on three things: Your connection with your vet, Your connections with other breeders and your connection with your dog. We are thankful to the multiple people that have provided us with support and advice. We thank Gene and family for their support and help.

3. FOOD & SUPPLEMENTS

ADULT DOGS FOOD
After dogs turn 6 months we move from puppy food to the one of the two adult food formulas you see here. We are using one of the two based on the dog’s need and the season. In Addition to the food we regularly give half an apple a day, egg, bones and meat from time to time. We don’t leave food hanging around, but rather remove their bowl after the time is up. See FOOD PORTIONS below.

PUPPY FOOD

We feed our puppies up to six months with puppy food. Also, we give moms-to-be puppy food starting with their pregnancy up until two months after whelping. Most of the time we give Option One. Option Two is possible too.

SUPPLEMENTS
We regularly give the three supplements below to improve the health of our Goldens:

1. ManaPro UniMilk

We add to the puppy food from the 4th week up until the 8th week. We mix the UniMilk with water, one spoon for each puppy, and blend. After that we add the puppy food and blend again.
